24 weeks

Had my 24 week appt. this week, had to have a glucose test done to check for gestational diabetes, hopefully all the results will come back good. I had higher blood pressure than normal and a little bit of protein in my urine so they will be watching that, kinda makes me nervous, i would hate to have any issues or be put on bed rest. I know i have been doing too much lately so i need to make sure i slow down and rest more often, and then not feel guilty about it!

Next Appointment is right after our trip to FL and we will be having another ultrasound, so looking forward to seeing our little one again :)  112 days or less left!

Better Late than Never

I have been so busy that i have not gotten around to taking any belly pictures lately, so i had paul snap a quick one last night with dakota, and i hope to have him take a few more tonight (if its a good hair day :)). Baby is VERY active and im loving it, its such an amazing feeling!!

My first baby shower is already Dec. 27th, very early, but with so many of Paul's family members living out of town we figured we would just do it while they are all here for Christmas. Im looking forward to getting things all together for the baby, especially as now the nursery is coming along as well.

We are looking forward to one last vacation as a couple, we are going to FL with my parents in January! Should be a nice and relaxing time for us.

Well here is the picture for now..more to come...

Pictures!!

The ultrasound went wonderfully yesterday! We were told to bring a VHS tape and they could tape part of it for us, but the machine was not working so we had to just settle with pictures. We have a very active baby, it was moving all over, punching me, and opening and closing his/her mouth. It was very entertaining. We are just amazed how much you can see, we were able to see the aorta, and chambers of the heart...just so amazing how its all coming together. The heart rate was 120 which is much lower than the past ( first 164, then 145)..paul says it has to be a boy. Whatever the gender, it is already listening well to me b/c i have been jokingly telling it to keep its legs crossed, and that is just what it did. I was so nervous i was going to see something. The tech didnt get to see a few different things very well so we will be having another ultrasound in 8 weeks just to make sure everything is good. The doctor told us that everything looked good and right on track. He showed us the scale of normal weight at this point and we are just above the 50th percentile, so now im praying it stays around there, and that this is not a sign of a big baby to come!!

I have been feeling well, just get tired a lot more often then i ever used to, part of it may be that i just dont sleep as well anymore. Seems every night when i crawl into bed the baby starts moving around like crazy! What a blessing it is though to feel that little life! i wouldnt trade it for the world. This weekend we are heading to Nashville, TN for a youth workers convention, so i am praying that i will do well on the long drive and less sleep, but we are looking forward to learning a lot.

Alright enough from me...here are the pictures!!

Our First Post

Well since we have many family and friends out of state, we thought this would be the best way for them to join with us in this fun time of pregnancy and awaiting the arrival of our little one. So hopefully ill be able to keep up on the blog and keep the updates and photos coming along.

So far all is going very well with the pregnancy, Paul has been nothing but a wonderful husband through all my sicknesses thus far. Thankfully i have been feeling a lot better the last 3 weeks, and am slowly gaining a little more energy. We have so much to get done before this baby comes!

Nov. 17th we will have our 20 week apt. and will get to  see our baby via ultrasound, i am very much looking forward to actually seeing a baby, not just a blob :) We however will NOT be finding out the sex of the baby, we LOVE the idea of it being a beautiful surprise the day he or she joins us.

We are so blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives to join us in this exciting time. So thank you to all of you. God has blessed us so much with each of you and we covet your prayers for us and our child!

Only 156 more days to go!

First Picture: 12 weeks, was still not feeling well at this point, hence the horrible picture of myself!

16 weeks, the bump looks huge in this picture..but i think its just the picture.
